Competition Team
At Metro Dance Academy, we believe in nurturing talent, fostering creativity, and providing a platform for dancers to thrive. Our competitive teams, made up of Company and Crew, compete in several competitions throughout the Northwest each year. Our talented group of dancers are dedicated to perfecting their routines and improving their artistry and performance skills. Their hard work and long hours in the studio have paid off with a wildly successful 2024 competition season!

COMPANY
Company is a special audition group within Metro Dance Academy. Company dancers perform and compete throughout the year at various community performances and competitions. The members of this company also attend dance conventions and workshops within the Pacific Northwest. Members are cast in multiple routines in various dance styles.
CREW
Crew is a group created for dancers interested in learning more about the competitive dance world. Crew dancers compete at two competitions per season and are not required to attend conventions. Auditions are held once a year.
Auditions
Is your child ready to take their passion for dance to the next level? We are thrilled to announce auditions for Metro Dance Academy’s competition team, and we want YOUR talented dancer to join us!
Who Can Audition?
Dancers ages 5-18. Whether your child is just starting out or already a seasoned performer, we encourage everyone to audition for this incredible opportunity!
When and Where?
Date: Saturday, June 21st
Location: Metro Dance Academy, Studio 1
Time: (audition times based on age as of January 1, 2026)
Age 5-8: 10:00am - 11:00am
Age 9-12: 11:00am - 1:00pm
Age 13+: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Parent Meeting:
All parents are required to attend our informational Parent Meeting.
Date: Thursday, May 29th
Location: Metro Dance Academy, Studio 1
Time: 7:00-8:00pm
We will review the schedule for the year, competition dates, budget and q&a.
Pre-Audition Workshop:
An optional workshop where dancers will get a feel for what audition day will be like.
Date: Friday, May 30th
Location: Metro Dance Academy
Time: (times based on age as of January 1, 2026)
Age 5-8: 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Age 9-12: 5:30pm - 6:45pm
Age 13+: 6:45pm - 8:00pm
