2026 Spring Dance Showcase, Presented by Metro Dance Academy!

Save the date for Metro Dance Academy’s 2026 Spring Showcase, Sunday, June 14th at 12 PM & 4PM at Lake Oswego High School. This year’s theme is “Stay True”.

Our spring show is a celebration of all the hard work, growth and accomplishments made by our dancers throughout the season. It’s an opportunity for all of our amazing dancers to shine on stage and perform for family and friends.

PERFORMING CLASSES

Important Upcoming Dates:

  • Thursday, February 26th: Opt-Out Deadline

  • Monday, March 9th: Costume Charge Date

  • Thursday, April 9th: Showcase Fee Charge Date

  • Friday, May 8th & Saturday, May 9th: Recital Picture Day

  • Thursday, May 14th at 12 PM: Tickets On Sale

  • Sunday, May 17th - 4 PM - 5:30 PM: Dad's Dance Rehearsal

  • Sunday, June 7th - 4 PM - 5:30 PM: Dad's Dance Rehearsal

  • June 8th - 13th: In-Class Dress Rehearsals

  • Friday, June 12th - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM: In-Studio Ballet Dress Rehearsal

  • Sunday, June 14th - 10 AM: On-Stage Ballet Dress Rehearsal

Opt-Out & Showcase Fee:

  • If you have a known conflict and your dancer is unable to perform, please opt-out by Thursday, February 26th to avoid being charged the costume and showcase fees

  • Please note that if you opt-out after the deadline, you will be responsible for the costume fees

  • Showcase Fee: One-time $40/dancer fee to be charged to your card on file on Thursday, April 9th

Opt-Out

Costumes:

  • Measurements will be taken during class in the month of February

  • For most classes, costumes and accessories will be ordered by Metro, you will only be responsible for shoes and tights

  • Each class will have a Costume Detail Sheet including a photo and description of the costume/accessories, required shoes, hair and makeup

  • Stay tuned for Costume Detail Sheets coming soon

  • Tiny Dancer: $60 per costume

  • Company/Crew/Rec Dancer: $75 per costume

  • Fees will be charged to your card on file Monday, March 9th

  • COSTUME FEES BY CLASS

Tickets:

  • Tickets will be available to purchase online only via TutuTix

  • Ticket sales open Thursday, March 14th at 12 PM

  • Reserved seating - select your seats at time of purchase

  • Separate tickets required for matinee and evening shows

  • Pricing:

    • Adult: $18

    • Child Age 3+: $15

    • Age 2 & under: FREE (sitting on lap)

Day of Show: Dancer Check-In/Out

What time is dancer check-in?

  • Company/Crew Call Time: 9:30 AM

  • All Ballet Dancer Call Time: 10:00 AM

  • Rec Dancer Call Time: Matinee: 11:00 AM, Evening: 3:00 PM

  • All dancers must arrive in full costume, hair and makeup

  • Check-in will be organized by dancer last name

Are parents allowed backstage?

For the safety of our dancers, parents WILL NOT be allowed backstage at any time, unless you are registered volunteer

What should my dancer bring?

Please bring a small bag for shoes and belongings marked with dancer’s first and last name. Please bring a small snack and a water bottle marked with dancer’s first and last name. Tiny Dancers will receive a plastic bag at check-in for their belongings that can be picked up at the conclusion of the show.

How do I check-out my dancer after the show?

Dancer check-out will be organized by dancer last name and check-out stations will be located on either side of the auditorium doors.

Tiny Dancers will be released to their parent/guardian off the stage immediately following their routine.

Ballet Dress Rehearsals:

  • In-Studio: Friday, June 12th - 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

  • On-Stage: Sunday, June 14th at 10:00 AM

  • Company/Crew Rehearsal Call Time: 9:30 AM

  • Rec Ballet Dancer Call Time: 10:00 AM - please arrive in full costume, hair and makeup

  • These times are subject to change

2026 Spring Recital Picture Day
Friday May 8th & Saturday May 9th

Mark your calendars for our professional photo shoot with Hults Photography. Dancers will wear their costumes, hair and makeup for each Spring Showcase routine.

*If you have a known conflict and are unable to attend picture day, please email danceatmetro@gmail.com.

Dad’s Dance:

Calling all Dance Dads! Help us kick off our 2026 Spring Showcase with a special Dad's Dance Performance! Join your dancer on-stage for a fun, simple routine to open the show and get the excitement started! Choose to perform in the 12 PM Matinee or the 4 PM Evening Show (or both!)

We can't wait to see all of our amazing Dads (or any loved one your dancer wishes to dance with) light up the stage with another unforgettable performance!

Dad’s Dance Rehearsals:

Please plan to attend one or both rehearsals with your dancer. Both will be held at Metro Dance Academy in Studio 1.

  • Sunday, May 17th - 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

  • Sunday, June 7th - 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Stay tuned for an online video tutorial of the routine coming soon so Dad and Dancer can learn and practice at home.
