Celebrate the holiday season with Metro Dance Academy at our annual Snowflakes Winter Dance Showcase! Join us on Saturday, December 20th at 11:00am at Lake Oswego High School Auditorium. This year’s performance features “Scenes from the Nutcracker”, performed by our ballet dancers and choreographed by the incredible Julie Heffner. Enjoy the magic of this holiday classic!
Showcase Fee:
All performing dancers will be charged a one-time $20 showcase fee. Your card on file will be charged on Tuesday, 11/25.
If your dancer is unable to perform in the show, please opt-out by Friday 11/21 to avoid being charged the showcase fee. Contact Annette at amcisaac@metrogymnastics.com to opt out.

Tickets on sale now! Purchase online only via TutuTix. Reserved seating, select your seats at the time of purchase.
The show has sold out in the past, please purchase your tickets early. We want all families to have access to tickets, so please only purchase tickets for your family.

Child Age 3+: $15
Under 3: Free (sitting on lap)

Parking will be available in both the front and rear lots and overflow parking will be available at Lake Oswego Junior High School located across the street
You may enter through the front or rear entrance doors to enter the main lobby.
Arrival & Dancer Instructions:
All participating dancers must check-in by 10:00am
Nutcracker rehearsal check-in: 9:00am (Snow) & 9:30am (All Nutcracker Dancers)
Dancers must be checked in and out by a parent/guardian and will be escorted to and from the backstage area by a Metro Dance Academy staff member or volunteer.
For the safety of our dancers, parents/guardians WILL NOT be allowed in any of the backstage areas.
If you plan to leave the show after your dancer’s performance, dancers may be checked out at that time by a parent/guardian.
Auditorium doors will open at 10:30am
Please have your electronic or printed ticket confirmation ready to be scanned
In-Class Dress Rehearsals: December 15th-19th
We will hold in-studio dress rehearsals during class the week before the show. Please have your dancer wear their costume, shoes, accessories, hair and optional makeup to class. Dancers will be practicing their routine in costume and parents/guardians may be invited into the studio to take a video.
Nutcracker On-Stage Dress Rehearsal:
All dancers performing in a Nutcracker routine will have a mandatory on-stage dress rehearsal at Lake Oswego High School before the show starts on Saturday, December 20th.
“Snow” Dancers Call Time: 9:00am (Monday Ballet 3, Tuesday Ballet 3/4, Thursday Ballet 4)
All other Nutcracker Dancers Call Time: 9:30am (Monday Tiny Ballet, Monday Ballet 1/2, Tuesday Pre-Ballet, Wednesday Ballet 1, Wednesday Ballet 2, Thursday Tiny Ballet/Jazz, Thursday Ballet 2)
All Tiny Dancers performing in the Nutcracker may have one parent chaperone in the auditorium audience with them as they wait for their routine rehearsal time.
Please arrive to rehearsal in full costume, hair and makeup

Each class has a unique Costume Detail Sheet, organized by class and available to view below. Each sheet includes information and clickable links for all required costumes, shoes, accessories, hair and makeup information. Please note that you are responsible for ordering any Amazon costumes and accessories listed for your routine. Many routine costumes include items you may already have at home. Please contact your class’s instructor with any questions.
